55 people from the Frederick Chamber of Commerce attended the “Networking with Your Deaf Community” at the restaurant, Tropix Pots Cuisine Bar and Grill in Frederick, Maryland. Donna DiMarco and Bobby Harris gave a presentation on the Deaf community and then proceeded to teach basic signs. Tips from the presentation included ways to communicate with the Deaf community according to their preferences such as writing notes via paper and pen or texting on phone.
